Eng Fanizani Phiri -Director-Rural Development

Fanizani Phiri is an accomplished Civil Engineer with over 26 years working experience in the public and private sectors in Zambia. Eng. Fanizani has vast experience in designing, supervision and monitoring of civil engineering projects in including dealing with cooperating partners in the area of infrastructure development. Fanizani joined the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development in 2014 as a Principal Engineer, having worked for over 10 years in the Ministry of Agriculture as a Technical Officer and 4 years as an Assistant Irrigation Manager – Masstock Africa Limited. His vast experience span from dealing with various infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, earth dams, irrigation schemes, schools, storage sheds, Markets and Bus Stations and other.
He holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Copperbelt University - Zambia, Masters Degree in Project Management from University of Zambia. Multiple short courses include: Road Sector Executives Programme at the University of Birmingham, United Kingdom; Project Management for Civil Engineers - Yokohama, Japan; FIDC forms of contracts by Association of Consulting Engineers in Zambia. Fanizani is a Fellow of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (FEIZ).
