The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (MLGRD) is thrilled to be part of this year’s 96th Agricultural and Commercial Show in Lusaka.
We are delighted to join several other exhibitors under the theme “Creating a Competitive Future”
The Ministry is holistically promoting the ‘Creating a Competitive Future’ through:
• Providing an opportunity for Youths to acquire various skills in order for them to lead a competitive life;
• Providing grants and Loans to members of the community to start and grow their enterprises;
• Construction of education infrastructure so that primary school pupils can learn their way to a competitive future in good learning environments;
• Providing desks in primary schools for pupils to learn in a conducive environment;
• Constructing health facilities to secure people’s health as they work towards a competitive future;
• Constructing markets so that traders can trade their way to a competitive future in conducive trading places;
• Constructing feeder roads in order for people in rural areas to farm their way to competitive future;
• Planning the Greater City of Lusaka in order to create socio-economic opportunities for its residents and also make the city compete with other cities in Africa
