Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary (Administration) Mr. Maambo Haamaundu, today, 9th November, 2023, visited Chunga Landfill commonly known as Chunga Dumpsite in Lusaka to check on progress on the construction of Inner access roads aimed at smoothening the movement of garbage-trucks into the Site. The trucks used to get stuck during rainy-season due to lack of proper access roads into the Landfill.
The Permanent Secretary also inspected construction of a wallfence around the Landfill, and rehabilitation of the Weigh bridge at the same Landfill. The projects are being undertaken by KAIGEE Construction Company Limited.
