On Saturday, 15th October, 2023 ; Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hon . Gary Nkombo Mp attended the Shimunenga traditional ceremony in Maala, Namwala district; in Southern province as a guest of Honor.
At the ceremony, the Minister indicated that traditional ceremonies are an integral part of development processes and are reservoirs of cultural expression which work to unify the Country.
The Minister was accompanied by Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Clerk-House of Chiefs, Mrs. Julian Mulenga and Principal Chiefs Affairs Officer,Mrs.Patience Simutowe.
