The Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hon. Gift Sialubalo, MP, has reaffirmed Governmentโ€™s commitment to strengthening land governance and policy implementation as Zambia prepares for the 2026 National Land Conference.

Speaking during a press briefing, the Minister highlighted the importance of the Conference as a strategic platform for addressing land administration challenges, promoting transparency, and advancing inclusive, sustainable development.

He noted that the Conference aligns with Governmentโ€™s broader decentralisation agenda, which seeks to empower local authorities and ensure that land management systems contribute meaningfully to economic growth and community development.

Hon. Sialubalo has since called on stakeholders across sectors to actively participate in the Conference and contribute to shaping a more efficient, equitable, and responsive land administration system in Zambia.
