Lusaka β Local Government and Rural Development Minister Hon. Gift Sialubalo, MP, has instructed Local Authorities across the country to take immediate steps to review and adjust property rates in line with President Hakainde Hichilemaβs directive aimed at easing the cost of doing business and improving affordability for citizens.
Hon. Sialubalo was speaking during a meeting with the leadership of the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives (SOLACE).
The Minister said Government has taken note of growing concern surrounding the high property rates being charged by some Local Authorities, a matter that has also drawn the attention of President Hichilema.
