LUSAKA: Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary (Administration) Dr. Gabriel Pollen has reaffirmed the Governmentβs commitment to empowering persons with disabilities with more opportunities that allow them to contribute meaningfully to National development.
Dr Pollen cited the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) as one of the mechanisms that Government had created for persons with disabilities to not only access to the fund, but be included in the CDF committees to enhance representation and advocacy for disability related-issues.
The Permanent Secretary was speaking when officials from the Muchinga Province Disability Association, led by Chairperson-Mr. Godwin Mubanga, paid a courtesy call on him at the Office to discuss matters of development.
