The Zambia Institute of Estate Agents (ZIEA), led by Board Chairperson Dr. Nalukui Muwindwa, has paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Honourable Gift Sialubalo, MP.

The engagement provided an opportunity for Zambia Institute of Estate Agents to formally acquaint the Minister with the Institute’s mandate and ongoing efforts aimed at promoting professionalism, ethics and standards within the real estate sector.

Dr. Muwindwa emphasized the importance of collaboration between ZIEA and the Ministry in strengthening regulatory frameworks, supporting orderly urban development and enhancing service delivery within local authorities. She noted that professional estate agency practice is critical to sustainable planning, investment confidence and improved land management.

In response, Hon. Sialubalo welcomed the delegation and reaffirmed Government’s commitment to working with professional bodies whose roles align with national development priorities. He underscored the Ministry’s focus on effective local governance, transparent land administration and planned development, adding that partnerships with institutions such as ZIEA remain key to achieving these objectives.

The courtesy call concluded with a shared commitment to continued dialogue and collaboration in advancing professional standards and contributing to sustainable local development across the country.
