Zambia is participating in the 3rd Session of the UN-Habitat Executive Board, taking place from 25th to 27th November 2025 in Nairobi, Kenya, as the country continues to advance its commitment to sustainable cities and communities in line with the New Urban Agenda and SDG 11.

The delegation is led by the Permanent Secretary for Technical Services in the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Mr. Nicholas Phiri, representing Zambia under the Africa Group. Also participating is the Zambia High Commissioner to Kenya, His Excellency Alfred Musemuna, emphasizing Zambia’s dedication to strengthening partnerships on sustainable urbanisation.

The Board session brings together member states to review UN-Habitat’s operations, enhance oversight, and fast-track global progress on human settlements and urban development.

For Zambia, this platform provides an opportunity to reaffirm its actions toward achieving Vision 2030 and creating inclusive, resilient communities.
