Major step toward shaping the future of Greater Lusaka.

Stakeholders from across government, traditional leadership, the private sector, and development partners came together to reflect on the Comprehensive Regional Development Plan (CRDP) a blueprint that will guide Lusaka’s growth over the next 20 years.
Speaking on behalf of the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Hon. Gift Simuunza Sialubalo, Permanent Secretary Technical Services Mr. Nicholas Phiri emphasized that Lusaka’s rapid population growth demands coordinated, inclusive planning.
The CRDP, developed with support from JICA, brings together voices from all five councils in the region, aligning infrastructure, housing, environmental management, and service delivery across Greater Lusaka.
The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has called on all stakeholders to take ownership of the plan and work together to turn vision into reality
